The JazzNet247 Project has been helping the jazz genre and today's artists since 1994 and is one of the longest running jazz internet websites. It has always been sponsored to date by myself.
We have been supporting the jazz genre for three decades now and in particular, the independent artists who do not have the resources of the artists who are signed to a record label.
Therefore during the past 29 years of broadcasting our show we have received many thousands of tracks from indie artists who do not always get the recognition that their music deserves and we try to champion as many as we can on our shows.
That said we have only got a limited number of slots available each week and we choose our NEW RELEASES PLAYLIST by listening to all of the tracks received and then weighting them in accordance to their appeal, the best ones go into the NEXT PLAYLIST, some are CARRIED OVER, but ALL ARE REPORTED to the CHARTS.
